Winterthur strings in concert

     The Department of Music will participate in the first United States
tour of the Winterthur (Switzerland) String Quartet, jointly sponsored by
Swissair and the Winterthur Museum.
     The quartet will perform in Chicago before the Delaware concert,
scheduled at 8 p.m., Thursday, Jan 27, in the Loudis Recital Hall of the
Amy E. du Pont Music Building.
     The program includes String Quartet Op. 76, no. 4 by Haydn; String
Quartet No. 1 "Aus meinem Leben" by Smetana; and String Quartet Op. 16 by
Wenzel Heinrich Veit.
     Admission is $5 for adults, $2 for students. Tickets will be available
at the door.
     After the campus concert, the quartet will travel to Washington, D.C.,
for a performance at the Swiss Embassy.
