Theatre program receives NEA grant for guest artists
The Professional Theatre Training Program (PTTP) at the University of
Delaware has received a $13,000 grant from the National Endowment for the
Arts to provide guest artists for the theatre season.
The money will be used to fund residencies of international guest
artists, such as German director Heinz-Uwe Haus, Finnish director Mikko
Viherjuuri, members of the Roy Hart Theatre of France, Finnish set and
costume designer Tero Kiiskinen and Finnish playwright Jussi Kylatasku.
Only nine other training programs in the country received grants,
among them the Julliard School, Yale and Harvard universities.
The Professional Theatre Training Program at the University of
Delaware is a three-year graduate theatre conservatory committed to
providing its students access to the best in theatrical practice and
artistry from all over the world.
