Bartol prof honored

     Thomas Gaisser, professor in the Bartol Research Institute, has been
awarded a residency grant at the Rockefeller Foundation's Bellagio Study
Center during March 1994. The Bellagio Study and Conference Center is
located near Lake Cumo, Italy. It serves as a site for scholarly study,
writing and discussion. Gaisser will continue his research on possible
sources of the highest energy cosmic rays and their propagation over cosmic
distances in an evolving universe. His book, Cosmic Rays and Particle
Physics, was published in 1990 by Cambridge University Press.
