NASA Space Activities Day on Newark campus Nov. 14     
                                                       
     As part of its NASA Space Grant College Program, the University
of Delaware will host a Space Activities Day from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30
p.m., Saturday, Nov. 14, on the main campus in Newark.       
     The event will consist of breakfast, a luncheon, a general
reception and a series of presentations, laboratory visits and
demonstrations describing graduate research opportunities at Delaware.
     Dr. Sheila Bailey, from the NASA Lewis Research Center in
Cleveland, will be the guest speaker at the luncheon, where she will
discuss "Science and Engineering Careers in NASA."           
     In addition to the speech, Space Activities Day participants will
receive information about NASA-sponsored research at the University of
Delaware, where principal areas of investigation include space
physics, astronomy, remote sensing, oceanography and structures in
engineering.                                                 
     Cost is $5 to this public event. Participants are asked to
register by Nov. 2 to receive a detailed agenda and map. For
