'Midnight Madness' gala Oct. 31                        
                                                       
     The 1992-93 University of Delaware men's and women's basketball
teams are hosting a "Midnight Madness" event Saturday, Oct. 31, at the
Bob Carpenter Center.  The doors will open at 11 p.m. and the teams
will begin practicing at midnight.                           
     Admission is free with an entry coupon from  the Bob Carpenter
Center box office or the Perkins Student Center. Music, and prizes
will be provided by WSTW 93.7 fm and WDEL news talk 1150 am. There
also will be a costume contest, with a grand prize of two airline 
tickets to anywhere in the United States.                    
     The public is invited to show its support for the basketball 
teams and join in the Halloween celebration.
