Senior checkout
For senior checkout, students in the College of Arts and Science
are urged to see an adviser in the department of their major and an
adviser in the Advisement Center, located in 121 Memorial Hall.
The procedure works best if students come in a semester before
graduation. These meetings confirm that the proper courses have been
taken and inform the student what courses are needed for graduation.
For more information, call the Advisement Center at 831-1281.

Student housing info
All students currently residing on campus who will be away from
Newark for spring semester must cancel, in writing, their residence
hall agreement prior to Dec. 18 in order to avoid being billed $100
for late cancellation.
University residence halls close at 10 p.m., Friday, Dec. 18,
unless a student has a final examination that night. In this case,
students must contact the hall director or assistant area coordinator
of the building they live in and request that an exception be made to
allow them to stay until 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 19.
Residence halls will reopen at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 3, for
students enrolled in Winter Session.
     For more information, call 831-2491.

Complete I-9 forms
To comply with the Immigration Act of 1990, the University must
verify the identity and employment eligibility of anyone
hired-regardless of funding. The I-9 form, Employment Eligibility
Verification Form, must be completed by every person who is hired.
To complete the I-9 form, the foreign employee must possess a
visa type that permits receipt of a payment/salary.
Since the International Center is responsible for completing the
I-9 for all foreign employees, it is imperative that departments
contact the center prior to hiring such individuals.
For more information, call the International Center at 831-2115.
