Bob Dylan blowin' in to Carpenter
At 8 Friday night, Bob Dylan, a rock 'n' roll legend, will
christen the Bob Carpenter Center with a concert of his classic
songs.
Doors to the center will open at 7:15 p.m., according to Domenick
Sicilia, interim director.
Students planning to attend are encouraged to use University
shuttle buses, which will follow their established routes and
schedules that evening. For concertgoers who elect to drive to the
performance, a $4 per vehicle parking fee will be charged to use the
University lots near the center-a practice familiar to Delaware
football fans.
The parking area includes more than a thousand spaces located
outside the Bob Carpenter Center, in front of Delaware Stadium,
Delaware Field House and the ice arenas.
According to Gary Summerville, associate director of public
safety, there will be two entrances offering access into these parking
areas-one in front of Delaware Stadium and another slightly north,
near the ice arenas.
All emaining tickets will be sold at the door at a cost of
$22.50. There will be no $1.50 service charge. For additional
information, call the Bob Carpenter Center box office at 831-4012.
