United Way seeks U.D. champions                        
                                                       
     In Search of Champions...You Can Make a Difference!" is the theme
of the 1992 United Way campaign.                             
     A training session for solicitors, followed by a reception, was
held Oct. 15 in Clayton Hall to start off this year's campus drive.
     Maxine Colm, vice president for employee relations, said, "The
enthusiasm of our solicitors suggests that this year's United Way 
campaign will be extremely successful, and we are indebted to those
members of our University community who work tirelessly on behalf of
the campaign."                                               
     Colm also said that, in this period of high community need, she
hopes that everyone will contribute as much as they can.     
     The campaign will run through Oct. 29.                  
     To be eligible for participation in the United Way raffle,
pledges must be returned to the Cashier's Office by the close of the
business day on Oct. 29.
