one of approximately 300 colleges and universities participating in
the national consortium. The dependent must meet the resident
institution's admission requirements.
For further information on the Tuition Exchange Program, contact
the Employee Services Office, Academy Building, at 831-6651. Completed

Summer CTE grants
The Center for Teaching Effectiveness (CTE) promotes excellence
in teaching and research related to issues of teaching and learning.
The center's Improvement of Instruction Grants Program offers
support to faculty for projects that benefit teaching and learning,
especially those which explore innovative and imaginative approaches
to education. The grants are designed to free faculty from summer
commitments so they may develop significant improvements in
instruction beyond normal and expected course revision.
Applicants for summer grants must demonstrate how the project
will improve teaching and goes beyond normal and assumed annual course
revisions expected by the University
For more information and to receive an application packet, call
CTE at 831-2027. The application deadline is 4 p.m., Friday, Nov. 13.

the lobby of Carpenter Sports Building.

Battery problem?
If you own an Everex SX computer, you may experience an excessive
drain of the battery. If this occurs, the machine will display a "C
MOS error" code when starting up. To eliminate this situation, a
technician must remove a resistor pack on the computer motherboard.
Once the resistor pack is removed, a new battery needs to be
installed. DEC will provide this service at no charge.
To arrange for an appointment, call 1-800-DEC-TOPS. For
information, call 831-3530.
