Kent S. Price, marine studies, has been unanimously elected to a
fourth term as vice president of the State Board of Education,
which he joined in 1986.
Patricia DeLeon, life and health sciences, appointed to a
four-year term on the Recombinant DNA Advisory Committee, which
advises the director of the National Institutes of Health and the
Secretary of Health and Human Services on the current state of
knowledge and technology of recombinant DNA and recommends
guidelines.
George Luther, marine studies, invited to join the editorial
board of Marine Chemistry.
Susan Brynteson, library, was invited to participate in a
planning meeting of the Coalition for Networked Information about
the High Performance Capacity Act of 1991 in Washington, D.C.,
