Computer service contract renewed

     The University initiated a computer hardware service agreement with
the Desktop Services Division of Digital Equipment Corp. (DEC) in October
1990. This contract was recently renewed for another year.
     DEC provides service contracts for a wide variety of microcomputer
hardware, offering on-site and depot contracts as well as individual
repairs for non-contract equipment charged on a time and material basis.
Both University and personally owned computers can be placed under
contract.
     New pricing information is available online through U-Discover!
(Computing and Technology menu). Copies of price lists are available at the
Computer Warehouse or the Microcomputing Resource Center. DEC is offering
an incentive in the form of a 5 percent discount, which will be issued for
all equipment placed under contract by July 15.
