Fair help needed
University employees are invited to staff the University exhibit booth
at the Delaware State Fair in July.
The University has a permanent display at the fair consisting of two
sections.
The first highlights the entire University through videotapes, fact
sheets and photographs, while the second area for individual departments
changes from day to day. One unit is in the booth at a time. Each unit sets
up its own exhibit during its shift, and takes it away when the shift is
over.
The booth is available Thursday, July 22, through Saturday, July 31.
For information on highlighting your unit at the fair or to volunteer
to staff the booth, contact Karen Roth at 831-2508.

Directory advertising
The University student/faculty/staff telephone directory published by
DataNational will contain advertising in a final "yellow pages" section.
To advertise in this year's directory, contact Gail Armstrong at
831-2144.

Paycheck distribution
Effective July 1, all paychecks will be sent to the employing
department for distribution. Student bi-weekly paychecks will no longer be
centrally distributed in the Student Services Building. When submitting
student hours to be paid to the Payroll Department, the check delivery code
should be the employing department's check delivery code.
Please call the Payroll Department at 831-2178 for more information.

Recycling assistance
Plant Operations is sponsoring recycling education programs, including
teach-ins and workshops, to promote awareness and encourage compliance with
the second phase of the University's recycling program.
These education programs, which are available to all University
employees, can be arranged for staff meetings on-site or on an individual
basis to address the guidelines of the recycling program or to focus on
specific recycling dilemmas.
For more information, contact Patricia Kennedy at 831-1816.

U.D. Day at carnival
The James E. Strates shows will be in town at Castle Mall (Route 4 and
72) Friday through Saturday, July 9-17.
Wednesday, July 14 from 5 p.m.-midnight, will be "University of
Delaware Day," and University faculty, staff, students and families will
have unlimited use of the rides at the reduced rate of $6 per person.
University I.D. is required.
