Alumnus with distinction

     Delaware alumnus Richard Eugene Emmert receives the University's Medal
of Distinction from President David P. Roselle at the College of
Engineering Convocation in the Bob Carpenter Center May 29. Emmert, who
received master's and doctoral degrees from the University in 1952 and
1954, respectively, is a member of the prestigious National Academy of
Engineering and former vice president of the photosystems and electronic
products department at the DuPont Co.  The Medal of Distinction is awarded
in recognition of professional achievements.
