Outreach coordinator named

     Marilyn Cooper has been named outreach coordinator of the English
Language Institute. This newly created position will augment current
University educational and training programs for Delaware's minority
populations.
     Before coming to Delaware, Cooper served at the University of
Wisconsin-Madison, as a consultant to the Small Business Development
Center, to the state Board of Vocational, Technical and Adult Education, to
state and local minority groups and to community centers, focusing on
customized vocational training and on small business and economic
development for limited English proficient minorities.
     Cooper's duties will include outreach to the Latin American Community
Center and other community-based organizations in Wilmington and
surrounding communities to assist in the development of programs that will
foster economic opportunity for limited English proficient minorities.
