Chapel Street play features UD staff
The Chapel Street Players presents its 28th annual summer fundraiser,
Something's Afoot, a murder mystery musical farce, directed by Paula
Shulak. Three University employees are featured in the cast.
One by one the guests of Rancour Estate are bumped off in fiendishly
funny ways that spoof the mystery genre, specifically Agatha Christie and
her classic Ten Little Indians.
It's up to the scarf-ed sleuth, Miss Tweed, played by Renee O'Leary,
to find the culprit among the silly suspects! Was it: the lasting lovers
(played by University employees Susan Siegworth and Scott F. Mason); the
fiery footman (University employee James A. Simpers); the evasive employee
(Marji Eldreth); the counting colonel (Steve Masters); the knock-out nephew
(Darrin Peters); the luminous Lady Manly-Prowe (Marlene Hummel); the
gaseous Grayburn (Ron Fava); or did the bombastic butler (Jim MacMicking)
do it?
Performances will be held Fridays and Saturdays, June 4, 5, 11, 12,
18, 19 and 25-26. All tickets are $15.
For reservations and show times, call 368-2248.
