Southern Delaware initiative
The complete Master of Education in Educational Leadership Program is
now available in southern Delaware.
Designed for educators interested in careers related to educational
administration, the program includes specialization in school
administration, vocational administration and adult and continuing
education. Additionally, it affords students the opportunity to satisfy
state certification requirements for various administrative positions.
According to Frank B. Murray, H. Rodney Sharp Professor of Educational
Studies and Psychology and dean of the College of Education, this is the
second major initiative by the college to extend services for residents of
southern Delaware. Previously, only a portion of the program's
requirements could be satisfied at southern Delaware locations.
The Master of Education in Educational Leadership Program represents
another major commitment by the University and the College of Education
toward providing services and responding to the professional development
needs of southern Delaware educators, Murray said.
The program complements the popular Master of Instruction (MI) Program
that has been available to southern Delaware educators for many years.
Courses will primarily be held in the Higher Education Building located on
the Georgetown campus of Delaware Technical and Community College.
