Managed care
All University health care plans provided through the State of
Delaware group include managed care. You need to know:
If you have Principal, Total Health Plus or The HMO of Delaware (or if
your spouse has a similar managed care plan)-
You will need to obtain proper authorization from your primary care
physician before seeking any referral or care and you MUST follow plan
guidelines.
If you have Basic, Basic Plus, or Comprehensive (or if your spouse has
a similar traditional plan)-
You should be aware that your plans include a high degree of managed
care. You will need to verify benefits, contact Intracorp, and follow all
guidelines.
