Education book fair
     The University community is invited to attend the College of
Education's spring book fair, April 22-24, sponsered by the College School
and the Education Resource Center.
     Featured at the sale will be high-quality, new children's books, to be
sold at 5 percent off list prices.
     The fair will be held in 018 Willard Hall Education Building from 8:30
a.m.-8:30 p.m. today; 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Friday, April 23; and from 9
a.m.-1 p.m., Saturday, April 24.

Luncheon program
     The Commission on the Status of Women's salaried staff consitutent
group will hold a focus luncheon, from noon-1 p.m., Tuesday, April 27, in
the Rodney Room of the Perkins Student Center. Beverages will be provided.
     The results of a survey of the salaried staff conducted last fall,
will be discussed. Debbie Dintenfass, Helen Morgan and Barbara Smith from
the Benefits Office will answer questions regarding the pension plan.

Prayer breakfast
     Warriors for Christ, along with several other campus and community
ministries, will sponser a Campus Prayer Breakfast from 9-11 a.m.,
Saturday, April 24, in Clayton Hall.
     Guest speaker will be Babatunde A. Ogunnaike, research engineer with
the DuPont Co. and adjunct professor in the Department of Chemical
Engineering at the University. Special music will be performed by the
University Gospel Choir.

Brest cancer program
     Six hospitals and imaging centers in New Castle and Kent counties, in
cooperation with Channel 6 Action News and the American Cancer Society,
will offer low-cost mammograms and breast cancer detection programs during
the month of May.

WalkAmerica Sunday
     The University is the beginning and ending site for the 1993 New
Castle County March of Dimes WalkAmerica, Walk for Healthier Babies,
scheduled for Sunday, April 25.
     Registration will be at 8 a.m. at the Delaware Stadium complex,
followed by the walk at 9 a.m.
     President David P. Roselle is honorary chairperson of the walk.
     Participants i WalkAmerica '93 can walk along a 15K (9 mile) course
through Newark, or opt for one of the shorter legs of 1, 3 or 6 miles.
Shuttle buses will drive along the course to pick up the fatigued.
Businesses, churches and civic froups will provide drinks along the route,
and refreshments will be available at the end of the walk.
     Members of the campus community are encouraged to participate and
represent the University. Employees and atudents are invited to form teams.
A team consists of five or more walkers, and any pledges collected by
campus teams would be credited to a University contribution.
     For the walk, Employee Services at 831-6651 will work with interested
units to assist with team organization. Student Life at 831-2707 is working
with student groups.
