Annual conference features student research by women
The Student Research on Women Conference, which highlights and
recognizes excellence in student research, will be held from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.,
Thursday, April 29, in the Collins Room of the Perkins Student Center and
from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m., Friday, April 30, in Bacchus Room at the Student
Center.
Liane Sorenson, director of the Office of Women's Affairs and
executive director of the Commission on the Status of Women, and Kate
Conway-Turner, director of the Interdisciplinary Women's Studies Program,
will make the welcoming remarks at 9 a.m., Thursday. Mary Donaldson-Evans,
professor of languages and literatures and chairperson of the Commission on
the Status of Women, will welcome the group at 9 a.m., Friday.
Presentations on Thursday begin at 9:15 a.m., with discussion periods
at 10:30 a.m., 11:55 a.m., 2:45 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. Lunch will be from
12:15-1:15 p.m.
