The 1993 Fightin' Blue Hen football season will include an 11-game
schedule featuring seven home games and an eight-game schedule in the
revamped Yankee Conference, according to Edgar N. Johnson, director of
athletics.
In addition to announcing the official schedule, Johnson released
details on differential pricing for University football games, a Delaware
Stadium smoking ban and a television agreement for the Oct. 16 game vs.
Villanova.
The Oct. 23 game against the University of Massachusetts, which had
tentatively been scheduled to be played in Ireland, will move back to
Amherst, Mass., to accommodate Massachusetts' Homecoming Day festivities.

Ticket information
Johnson also announced the initiation of differential pricing for all
home football games beginning this season.
Under this plan, prime seats in Delaware Stadium will cost the most.
There will be an increase in the price of seats in Section D and K, the
sections nearest the 50-yard line, and box seats between the 30-yard lines.
All other ticket prices will remain the same. A similar pricing structure
was implemented in the University's Bob Carpenter Center this past season
for basketball.
Single game ticket prices for the 1993 football season will be as
follows: Sections D and K ($17); other sections ($15); box seats between 30
yard lines ($20), other box seats ($18); north end zone ($9).
"There is a waiting list for good seats at Delaware Stadium,"Johnson
said. "We feel that this approach is the fairest and most equitable way to
handle the demand for the best seats in the stadium."
