College launches AGINFO network
A new, computer-based information system called AGINFO is now on-line
from the College of Agricultural Sciences. The system is available to
anyone with computer access to Internet, which many Delaware residents are
already using to access the library's DELCAT system.
When the system is complete, AGINFO users will be able to call up
on-screen Cooperative Extension newsletters, fact sheets and bulletins,
personnel directories, recruitment news and general information about the
college, a speakers' bureau directory, a media source list and other useful
information.
Users also will be able to access a number of off-campus information
systems, including the Clemson University Forestry and Agriculture network,
Pennsylvania State University PENpages, the Purdue University Cooperative
Extension Management System and University of Michigan national weather
reports.
The network is expected to be in full operation by July.
