'Underclass Question' now in paperback

Philosophy professor Bill E. Lawson's well-received book, The
Underclass Question, is being reissued in paperback this month by Temple
University Press.
The Underclass Question is a collection of works by contemporary
black philosophers and the first book to address the plight of the
underclass from a philosophical viewpoint.
In a collection of original essays, the philosophers consider
questions raised by the existence of a group of people in the United State
whose lives dramatically contradict the American dream.
Lawson, who is an associate professor, has been with the University of
Delaware since 1986. Prior to that he was an assistant professor of
philosophy at West Virginia University in Morgantown, W.Va.; at Montclair
State College in New Jersey; and at Spelman College in Atlanta.
