Puppet show

     Parents in the University community are invited to bring their
children to a performance by the Kids on the Block Puppeteering Troupe at 9
a.m. on Saturday, March 20 in the Education Resource Center, 012 Willard
Hall Education Building. Trainers from Columbia Maryland will be at the
University that day to train volunteers in Kids On the Block puppeteering
skills. Their performance, which is free, is part of the training.
     An audience of children, optimum ages 7-9, is being sought. Subject of
the performace is AIDS. The script for the puppets is developmental and age
appropriate. It has been approved by state health agencies and reviewed by
staff at the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta.
     Registration is required and interested parents should call JoAnne
Norris, staff asssistant in the Dean's Office and advisor to the
University's Kids on the Block program, at 831-2311.
