Marvin B. Sussman, Unidel Professor Emeritus of Human Behavior,
received the Lee Founders Award from the Society for the Study of
Social Problems, Aug. 20, for lifetime achievement and
demonstration of outstanding abilities in consultation, research,
scholarship and teaching with a commitment toward illuminating
and solving societal problems.
Robert F. Brown, philosophy, served as National Endowment for the
Humanities panelist to evaluate fellowship applications in the
discipline of religious studies.
Richard A. Barczewski, Cooperative Extension, awarded first place
for his newsletter, Delaware Sheep News, in a nationwide contest
sponsored by the National Association of Cooperative Agricultural
Agents.
David E. Hollowell, administration, chaired 27th annual
conference, Society for College and University Planning, Aug.
2-5, Minneapolis. He also was appointed to chair the strategic
planning task force, which will develop a plan to guide the
society through the end of the decade.
