An easy guide to recycling at Delaware
Blue plastic desk side containers for low-grade paper

Comingled (low-grade) paper
Comingled or low-grade paper should be placed in the blue plastic desk
side recycling container. These are the collection containers employees
were issued nearly a year ago. Comingled (low-grade) paper is defined as:
post-it notes, tear-off sheet paper, legal pads, thermal fax paper,
three-ring binder paper, colored office paper, manila file folders, brown
envelopes, tab and index cards, NCR (no carbon required) paper and manila
mailing envelopes.
Building custodians will periodically collect and empty the blue, desk
side recycling containers. They then place the materials collected into
clear plastic bags. These bags are hauled to selected collection points by
the custodial staff for collection by the Univeristy's recycling
contractor.
Do not place loose paper in any outside recycling container. All
material must be placed in clear plastic bags before being placed in the
recycling containers outside of any University building.
