Memorial service 

     Florence M. Garrett, retired coodinator of the University's Academy of
Lifelong Learning, died Jan. 30 at her home in Wilmington.
     Mrs. Garrett, one of the founders of the academy, served as the
program's coordinator from 1982 until she retired in June 1992.
     She is survived by her husband of 43 years, William, two sons, a
daughter and three grandsons.
     A service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 6, in Grace United
Methodist Church, Ninth and West streets, Wilmington.
     The family suggests contributions to the Florence Mitchell Garrett
Memorial Fund, in care of the Academy of Lifelong Learning, Arsht Hall,
2700 Pennsylvania Ave., University of Delaware, Wilmington, DE 19806.
