Diversity unit's hours listed 

     Deborah Cohen, (center row, right ) a doctoral candidate in clinical

     The unit, created in September, and directed by Judith Gibson,
assistant vice president for affirmative action and multicultural programs,
was formed to offer support and referral services to faculty, staff and
students who have particular concerns about diversity matters.
     Under the umbrella of the Campus Diversity Office, the offices of
Affirmative Action, Multicultural Programs and Women's Affairs work
cooperatively to address issues of race, gender, ethnicity, sexual
orientation and physical abilities.
     Individuals listen to concerns and problems, offer counseling as
appropriate, make referrals to other campus administrative offices and help
in the development of programs to improve the campus climate for diverse
groups.
     The Campus Diversity Office, located in Room 307 of Hullihen Hall, is
open from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Mondays and Tuesdays--appointments must be made
for the 5-6 p.m. time period; from 10 a.m.-noon, Wednesdays; and from 1-3
p.m., Thursdays and Fridays.
