Self-defense course
The Department of Public Safety will sponsor a women's self-defense
program entitled, Rape Aggression Defense Systems (R.A.D.). This program is
designed to teach easy, proven techniques that can be used for self-defense
against sexual assault.
The course will be held from 7:30-10:30 p.m., Thursdays and Mondays,
Jan. 14-28, in meeting room A of the Christiana Commons. The cost of the
program is $20.

Salaried survey
The Salaried Staff Constituent Group of the Commission on the Status
of Women is conducting a survey to identify issues of importance to
salaried staff members. All salaried staff should have received a copy of
this survey through Campus Mail.
If you did not and would like a copy, call the Office of Women's
Affairs at 831-8063.
The group also is researching the promotion/reclassification process
in regard to equity for and support of salaried staff employees. To comment
on this issue, contact one of the following members: Maryanne Brown-Mackay,

Sports camps
The athletics department will sponsor various summer sports camps,
including football, basketball, soccer, diving, field hockey, volleyball,
cross country and tennis.
