Employment service for alumni

The University is offering its alumni a new service, the Alumni Career
Employment Services (ACES), co-sponsored by the offices of Alumni Relations
and Career Planning and Placement. The service includes career counseling,
a jobs hotline, resume service and credential service.
Up to five sessions of career counseling, including career testing and
an alumni job search manual is available for $50 for a six-month period. A
jobs hotline, updated weekly, gives job listings categorized by
field/profession.
Cost for six months is $25. (The hotline is made possible through
contributions from the Class of 1942.) Both of these services are free to
registered U.D. graduates up to six months after Commencement.
A credential service will maintain letters of reference in a permanent
file that can be sent to employers or to graduate schools. A $25 fee
includes 10 sets of credentials.
The following services are offered free of charge: placement of a
resume in a data base that can be sent to interested companies and
organizations; a 30-minute introductory appointment/resume critique; the
Career Resource Center (CRC) for job leads and information; workshops on
resume writing, interviewing and the job search; internships; the Campus
Interview Program (on a space-available basis); and the Day-on-the
Job/Dial-an-Alum programs.
