Medicare, FICA rates for 1993                          
                                                       
     The Social Security Administration has announced the maximum 
taxable earnings and the rates for FICA and FICA Medicare for 1993.
     The rates have remained the same, but the maximum taxable
earnings have increased as follows:                          
                                                             
               Rate      On earnings up to   Maximum Employee Tax 
     FICA      6.20%          $ 57,600            $3,571.20  
     Fica med  1.45%          $135,000            $1,957.50  
                                                             
     During 1992, the maximum taxable earnings were $55,500 for FICA
and $130,200 for FICA Medicare.
