Student Services Building gets good reviews

The Student Services Building offers a centralized location for
out-of-class business.
In operation since the beginning of the fall semester, the new
building, located on Lovett Avenue, provides in one location a wide
range of information and allows students to make arrangements for
dining, financial aid, ID cards, parking, payment of fees,
registration and transcripts. Students also may check the status of
financial aid requests, class schedules and account statements on
computer terminals at the facility.
In late October, Chris Wolfe, coordinator of the English Language
Institute, helped new ELI student Jin Hyuk Ko get an ID. "The building
is much nicer, bigger and more efficient," Wolfe said. "The employees
are a pleasure to work with and could not be nicer."
Several other students have offered favorable comments on the
building's convenient location.
The fewer number of lines as a result of the availability of the
personal computers also was noted as a positive feature.
Angela Purdom, a first-year graduate student in art history,
said, "Having everything in one building is good for a new student."
Ryan Williams, a senior psychology major, agreed. "The computers
are easier and faster for student users," he said.
The Student Services Building is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.,
Monday through Friday.
