     Greeting travelers as they drive into Newark on Route 896 is this
new sign at the intersection with Christina Parkway. Adorned with the
University's coat of arms, the sign denotes the beginning of
University property.  The sign's electronic billboards provide
up-to-date information on upcoming athletic events and public
activities at the Bob Carpenter Center.
