Statistically speaking
Designed to meet current and future needs of the University of
Delaware, the two-level Bob Carpenter Center includes
* comfortable seating, most with seat backs and armrests, for
more than 5,000 spectators for basketball, academic
ceremonies, concerts or televised sports events;
* new and expanded locker rooms for men's and women's
basketball and for football;
* new Athletic Trainers Quarters and an expanded Sports
Medicine Clinic;
* a new strength training center;
* multipurpose classrooms; and
* The Bob Carpenter Club, housed in the concourse lounge,
providing views both into the Acierno Arena and Delaware
Stadium.

Cost
$20.5 million, including construction, equipment, furnishings,
professional fees, landscaping and parking
Funding
$12 million from the state of Delaware, with the remainder coming
from the University and private gifts from individuals, businesses
and foundations

5,058 in basketball configuration, up to 5,800 when court area is
used for moveable seating (3,108 seats have backs and armrests)

Poured-in-place concrete with steel frame, red brick masonry,
glass, stucco and glass block
