Architects world-renowned for sports facilities

     Helmuth, Obata & Kassabaum (HOK) of Kansas City, Mo., one of the
largest and most experienced architectural/ engineering firms in the
country, served as architects of the Bob Carpenter Center.
     In 1992, Engineering News Record ranked HOK the number one
architectural/engineering/ planning firm and Building, Design &
Construction ranked HOK as the top architectural/engineering firm.
     HOK's Sports Facilities Group is a specialized division devoted
solely to the planning, design and renovation of sports, athletic and
recreation facilities. The Sports Facilities Group has been involved
in more than 150 sports and recreation projects since joining HOK in
1983.
     Other projects of the firm include the new Oriole Park at Camden
Yards in Baltimore; Ervin J. Nutter Center at Wright State University
in Dayton, Ohio; Pilot Field in Buffalo, N.Y.; Joe Robbie Stadium for
the Miami Dolphins; Bradley Center Arena in Milwaukee; and the New
Comiskey Park for the Chicago White Sox.
     With a staff of over 140 architects, planners and support
personnel dedicated solely to sports architecture, HOK Sport has
dominated stadium design in the United States and internationally at
every sports level and has designed or planned more than 185 sports
projects.
