Literacy program                                                     
     For the sixth year, the University's Literacy Improvement Program        
will offer classes to University employees wishing to upgrade their  
reading, writing and spelling skills.                                
     In the past, participants have ranged from non-readers to those 
who wish to take advanced courses at the University or other schools.
The course is offered free of charge.                                
     Tests will be given 1-4 p.m., Sept. 15 and 17, at 87 East Main  
St., in the first floor conference room. The classes will be held from        
noon-2 p.m. and 3-5 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning Sept. 29.

BJ's club cards                                                      
     A membership card to BJ's Wholesale Club is available for       
University use through the purchasing department.                    
     The card may be used for University purposes only, with a       
Purchase Order With Check (POWC).                                    
     The card may be picked up in the purchasing office, General     
Services Building, and returned within two working days.
