Gallery exhibit a major success

The "Brandywine Valley to the Bay" art exhibition, on display
in the University Gallery through Nov. 3, has awed nearly 3,000 art
lovers with its diverse display of works.
"The exhibit has had an exceptional response from the
community," Belena Chapp, gallery director/curator, said.
University students, faculty and staff have comprised the
majority of visitors, but the exhibit also has attracted admirers
from the surrounding area.
"For some people, this is the first time they've ever visited
the University. It's a nice way to get acquainted with campus,"
Chapp said.
"I can't say enough good things. It has been a positive
experience from all vantage points. The catalog is selling well,
all of the lenders are pleased and the campus community has
responded well," she added.
The exhibit has received favorable reviews in the Wilmington
News Journal and the Philadelphia Inquirer.
The art exhibition is located in Old College.
