Available housing listed on local computer system
Information on available housing, of particular interest to
graduate students who plan to attend the University this fall, is now
published on the U-Discover "Gopher" information server, accessible
through the UNIX systems.
The listings include rooms, apartments and houses for rent in the
Newark community as well as openings in graduate and undergraduate
residence halls and apartments.
University students, faculty and staff can access this
information by logging onto a UNIX system, entering "Gopher" at the
system prompt, choosing the menu for Student Information and selecting
"Housing and Residence Life."
The "Rooms to Rent/Share" and the "Apartments and Houses to Rent"
lists will be presented. Students, faculty and staff who do not have
a UNIX account may open one at the business office in the basement of
Smith Hall.
Academic departments which, in the past, have received hard copy
off-campus listings can request to receive this expanded information
on a regular basis by calling Housing and Residence Life at 831-2491
or e-mailing Nelcenia.Downer@mvs.udel.edu.
The listings will be sent to the requester's e-mail address.
Departments can forward this information to graduate students or
faculty at other schools with an Internet address.
Housing listings and other U-Discover information will be
available this fall to students via terminals in the new Student
Services Building on Lovett Avenue.
