Computer camp
     A limited number of spaces are still available for children ages
4 and 5 in the University's summer computer camp that runs from June
29-July 9.
     The two-week morning camp exposes children to a variety of
popular state-of-the-art software packages that make use of graphics,
animation, music and word processing. The sessions run from 9
a.m.- noon, Mondays through Thursdays. Cost is $150 per child.

CSW nominations
     The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) is seeking
nominations for several open positions during 1992-94. These include
an academic administrator, two faculty members, a professional member,
two salaried staff members, two graduate students, four undergraduates
and one representative each from student affairs and continuing
education.
     The 21-member group is appointed by the president. Individuals
typically serve two years, although students are required to serve
only one year.
     The organization works to improve the status of women and to
respond to their concerns in all University endeavors. Areas that have
been addressed include safety, sexual assault, sexism in the
classroom, hiring, promotion, salary equity and child care.
     To be considered or to suggest someone to the commission, send a
letter of nomination including the following: name, position for which
you are applying/recommending, campus unit or departmental major and
campus/local phone number.
     Nominations should be sent to the Office of Women's Affairs by
July 10.

Phone directory
     The combined University of Delaware student/faculty/staff
directory is being published by DataNational. The directory will
contain advertising in a final "yellow pages" section. Anyone
interested in advertising in this year's directory should telephone
Gail Armstrong in publications at 831-2144.

Financial advice
     Cooperative Extension is offering assistance to individuals who
need help in managing debt and sorting out a difficult financial
situation.
     Volunteers with the Financial Management Counseling Service will
help set up realistic spending guides, assist with planning for
savings and offer advice on record keeping and making ends meet during
a time of transition.

Fair workers needed
     There still is time to volunteer to work at the University of
Delaware booth at the Delaware State Fair in Harrington. As of
mid-June, time slots remaining include 4-10 p.m., Friday, July 24;
7-10 p.m., Saturday, July 25; noon-5 p.m., Sunday, July 26; and 4-10
p.m., Saturday, Aug. 1.

Holiday library hours
     Hours at the Morris Library and branch libraries will be changed
during the Independence Day weekend. The Morris Library will be open
from 1-5 p.m., Friday, July 3, with only circulation and reserve
services available. Special Collections and the Exhibition Gallery
will be closed. On Saturday, July 4, the Morris Library will be
closed.
     All branch libraries will be closed from Friday through Sunday.
July 3-5. The chemistry library will close early, at 5 p.m., on
Thursday, July 2.

International move
     The International Center has relocated temporarily to 328
Hullihen Hall. The telephone and fax numbers remain the same. Hours of
operation are from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Mammogram tests
     The Mammography of Delaware mobile unit will offer mammograms on
campus Tuesday, July 21, in the Daugherty Hall parking lot, and
Wednesday, Aug. 12, in the Newark Hall parking lot.
     Employees are encouraged to make an appointment in advance for
the 15-minute screening sessions, in the coach which has been designed
for privacy and comfort.
     Trained female specialists will use advanced, low-dose X-ray
equipment. Insurance companies cover the cost of mammograms in most
cases. The results are reported to the woman and to the physician she
designates.
     University students and employees who wish to take advantage of
the programs should call the Office of Women's Affairs at 831-8063.
     Registration deadlines are Monday, July 13, (for July 21 testing)
and Tuesday, Aug. 4, (for Aug. 12   testing).
