Counselor wins national honor

Assistant director of the Center for Counseling and Student
Development (CCSD) Jonathan D. Lewis has been awarded the Diplomate in
Counseling Psychology by the American Board of Professional
Psychology.
The diploma signifies the highest recognition of competence in
the practice of psychology as judged by one's professional peers.
Lewis' award is the first time a CCSD psychologist has been so
recognized in the University center's 46-year history.
Only a few psychologists in the state of Delaware have earned the
distinction in the past 20 years, said John Bishop, dean of counseling
and student development.
Lewis joined the University counseling center in 1981.
Previously, he was an assistant professor and counselor at the
Counseling Center at Kansas State University.
