Honoring academics; Promising students receive recognition: Hispanic/Latino

     Hispanic/Latino Students of Promise at the University were
honored in a reception at the President's Home May 12.  These students
of promise must have achieved a 3.0 grade point average in the spring
and/or fall semesters of 1991.
     Fifty-three students, representing 40 percent of the University's
Hispanic/Latino undergraduate population, were recognized for their
academic achievement.
     The names of those honored are listed below:
