Ceremonies scheduled for Commencement, 10 colleges
Commencement will be held in Delaware Stadium, rain or shine, 9
a.m. Saturday, May 30. Graduates must be assembled in their academic
procession by 8:30 a.m. Seating for Commencement will be in the east
and west stands of Delaware Stadium. Limited on-field seating for
physically disabled persons will be available for the ceremony.
Following the 1992 Commencement exercises, Convocation ceremonies
for each college will be held at locations throughout campus. Each
ceremony will last approximately one hour.
Admission tickets are required for some college ceremonies.
Ticket information will be sent to graduates by the respective
colleges.
College of Agricultural Sciences
2 p.m., Auditorium, Mitchell Hall
Box lunches are offered prior to Convocation under the East
Stands of Delaware Stadium.
College of Arts and Science
11 a.m., Delaware Stadium
Arts and Science Convocation will be held on the Delaware Stadium
field immediately after Commencement. In the event of rain, the Arts
and Science Convocation will be held in Delaware Field House at 1:30
p.m. The field house will open at 12:30 p.m. Box lunches will be
offered following Convocation under the east stands of Delaware
Stadium.
College of Business and Economics
11 a.m., Delaware Field House
Following Convocation, a luncheon for the college will be held in
the Blue Ice Arena.
College of Education
Noon, Room 128, Clayton Hall
A reception will follow the ceremony in Room 115 Pencader Dining Hall.
College of Engineering
2:30 p.m., Room 101, Clayton Hall
A luncheon will be held in Pencader Dining Hall beginning at noon.
College of Human Resources
Noon, Room 101, Clayton Hall
A reception will follow the ceremony in Pencader Commons II.
College of Marine Studies
11 a.m., VIP Lounge, Blue Ice Arena
College of Nursing
Noon, Auditorium, Mitchell Hall
A reception will be held outside Mitchell Hall at 11 a.m. In the
event of rain, the reception will be held in Smith Hall.
College of Physical Education, Athletics and Recreation
1 p.m., Auditorium, Newark Hall
Prior to the ceremony, a reception will be held at 12 noon.
College of Urban Affairs and Public Policy
11:30 a.m., Room 120, Clayton Hall
For additional information students should call the college directly.
Regalia rental
Faculty and professional staff participating in either ceremony
must wear academic regalia. It may be rented through the University
Bookstore. Orders must be placed by May 15. For information, call
