Marketing seafood
     The University Sea Grant Marine Advisory Service is hosting
"Marketing Seafood and Aquaculture Products," from 6-8:30 p.m.,
Wednesday, March 11, in 104 Cannon Laboratory at the Marine Studies
Complex in Lewes.
     The free seminar will feature several presentations.

Composites reviews
     The Center for Composites Materials (CCM) has initiated a
series of research reviews on broad areas of interest within the
composites field. Held every Monday at noon in Room 106 of the
composites center during the spring 1992 semester, the sessions are
moderated each week by a different faculty or professional research
staff member.
     Presentations are given primarily by graduate students who
provide status reports on thesis or dissertation research.
     The sessions include such topic areas as on-line
consolidation, sheet forming, textiles, injection molding, joining,
liquid molding, durability, processing of polymers and ceramics and
process design, optimization and control.
     The series was organized by Anthony Beris, associate professor
of chemical engineering and CCM board member.

Nutrition month
     To celebrate National Nutrition Month during March, the
University Nutrition Clinic is offering a variety of educational
activities.
     Joanne Schumacher, a dietetics student, will present a free
noontime lecture on "Recipe Revolution,"  Thursday, March 12, in
the Ewing Room of the Perkins Student Center. Participants will
learn how to alter favorite recipes to lower fat and calorie
content without compromising taste. Those attending are encouraged
to bring lunch.
     The Dial-A-Dietitian program will be available from 9 a.m.-3
p.m., Monday through Friday, from March 2-24. Individuals may call
831-1109 to take advantage of expert advice.
     Supermarket tours, conducted by a registered dietitian or
student dietitian, will be offered from 6:30-7:30 p.m., March 12,
19 and 24. Small groups will be led aisle-by-aisle through Pathmark
at College Square Shopping Center, and participants will be taught
how to read food labels and shop for foods that are healthy and low
in fat.

4-H Rabbit Club
     The New Castle County Cooperative Extension office of the
College of Agricultural Sciences will sponsor the first meeting of
the 4-H Rabbit Club at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 29, in 032 Townsend
Hall.
     The club is forming to educate youngsters interested in
learning about feeding, housing, health, diet and other aspects of
rabbit care.
     Extension agent Mark Manno said over the past few years the
4-H office has received an increasing number of calls concerning
rabbits and their care.  Manno said he believes the Rabbit Club
will be filling a great need in the community.
     The 4-H Rabbit Club will meet once a month.  Membership is
free.

Girls Inc. awards
     Girls Inc. of Delaware is accepting  nominations for its 1992
"She Knows Where She's Going" award.
     This national competition will recognize the outstanding
achievements, abilities and aspirations of three Delaware women.
     Recipients will join other individuals from throughout the
country who have been honored by other Girls Inc. affiliates.
     This year's honoree will receive the award at the fourth
annual celebration luncheon, sponsored by Wilmington Women in
Business, to be held in the Gold Ballroom of the Hotel du Pont June
5.
