Parking regulations
University holders of controlled-access parking permits and
reserved-space permits are no longer allowed to park their cars in
regular spaces in the same lot or in adjacent lots, according to a
new regulation from the Traffic Division of the Department of
Public Safety.
Reserved permits are valid in other lots that are not
adjacent.
The regulation was devised to provide more efficient use of
campus parking.
Women's research
Nov. 1 is the deadline for submitting entries to the Women's
Research Awards Program, sponsored by the National Association for
Women in Education.
The $750 awards are designed to encourage and support
excellence in research by, for and about women. Research considered
for the awards may be on any topic relevant to the education and
personal and professional development of women and girls. The
research may be historical, philosophical, experimental, evaluative
or descriptive.
Two awards are presented annually: one in an open category for
any career/professional level and the other for graduate student
research.
