and salaried staff to the University's performance appraisal system. In
order for the performance appraisal to be effective, employees need to

familiar with their supervisor's obligations and responsibilities as
enumerated in the University's Performance Appraisal Policy.

Secretarial Seminars

Partnerships in Learning.
That's the force driving a new program at the University. Spring
1992 will see the debut of three Secretarial Seminars in southern
Delaware, co-sponsored by the following University units continuing
education, employee development, women's affairs and employee assistance
and wellness.
The seminars are designed to encourage participation from the
entire southern Delaware secretarial community, allowing non-University
secretaries to attend for a seminar fee. It is expected that the
opportunities to meet colleagues in similar positions from other
industries will foster the sharing of resources and information.
Each seminar offers a full-day training program or two half-day
workshops. For University of Delaware employees, the seminars are free.
However, pre-registration is required and there is a modest charge for
the luncheon. The seminars are flexible enough to accommodate full-day
or half-day registrants.
