Safety alert

     The Department of Occupational Health and Safety recently
received several safety and recall notifications. These include:
     * Sporicidin International Gold Sterilizing Solution and
Sporicidin-HD Disinfecting Solution use should be discontinued
immediately. Sporicidin International is ceasing distribution until
claims that the use of these products may result in serious health
consequences are resolved.
     * There may be an electrical shock hazard associated with
Coherent Incorporated's Innova 90 ion laser system if the plasma
tube magnet assembly is improperly oriented in the laser head and
the grounding path for the laser head is impaired. A kit is
available for correcting this deficiency.
     * Edwards High Vacuum International rotary pumps, sold under
model names Savant VP100 and Savant VP190, may cause an electrical
shock hazard if, in the course of use, the vibration of the pump
motor loosens a grounding screw.
