Motor Pool hours
The Motor Pool is open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through
Friday. Employees who plan to leave campus at other times must pick
up keys and paperwork prior to the planned departure.
The Motor Pool can accept advance reservations on EMC2 by
using @MPOOL at the employee's destination prompt. Individuals must
include the driver's name, phone number, date of use, times of
departure and return, type of vehicle and the FAI number. This
process does not guarantee the availability of a vehicle, but it is
growing in popularity because of its convenience.
All e-mail reservations will be confirmed or a notice of
non-availability will be made by return e-mail.
For further information on Motor Pool procedures, call
451-8471.

New 'You' available
The NEW YOU Weight-Control Program will be available to the
University community on Tuesdays, beginning in early February.
This 10-week program is taught by a registered dietitian from
the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics' Nutrition Clinic. The
program, scheduled from noon to 1 p.m., will include information on
diet, exercise and behavior modification. The weekly sessions
consist of a combination of lecture and discussion. Key objectives
include learning how to budget fat in the diet, read food labels,
alter recipes, manage food cravings, eat healthy while dining out
and handle special occasions.
Final evaluations are performed to assess each participant's
progress.
The $105 cost is lower than commercial programs and includes
initial and final body fat percentage analyses, weekly classes,
handouts and materials and the book, Walking off Weight. In
addition, an incentive gift will be provided to participants who
lose 10 or more pounds during the program.
Enrollment is limited and payment is due before the first
class.
Individual nutrition counseling also is available to
University faculty and employees at a reduced rate from a
registered dietitian.
Employees in need of more information about cholesterol,
weight reduction, hypoglycemia and other related topics and
programs should call the Nutrition Clinic at 451-8729 to schedule
an appointment.
A physician's referral may be necessary.

Social Security tax
For 1992, the Social Security tax will be calculated at a
