Mammogram screening offered

     The University will offer mammograms on campus Feb. 27 and 28
through Mammography of Delaware, a cooperative effort by the state
and the Medical Center of Delaware.
     The screening takes approximately 15 minutes and the mobile
coach is designed for both comfort and privacy. Trained female
technicians will use advanced, low-dose X-ray equipment. According
to experts, the radiation exposure of a breast examination is
equivalent to that of a dental X-ray.
     Insurance companies cover the cost of mammograms in most
cases. The results of the mammogram will be reported to the
employee and to the physician she designates.
     Faculty who plan to be away during Winter Session should
register immediately through the Office of Women's Affairs at
451-8063. Registration deadline is Feb. 14.
