Diplomatic service

     Bruce Bredin, a longtime member and former chairman of the
University's Board of Trustees, also has been involved in the
creation of the diplomatic reception rooms at the U.S. Department
of State. Bredin has served for several years on the Fine Arts
Committee and chairs the Diplomatic Rooms Foundation, which has
fiscal responsibility for the project. At the end of this week,
Bredin will be present at a dinner honoring Clement E. Conger,
curator of the rooms, upon the occasion of his upcoming
retirement.
