One of two new resources added to UDaily

UDaily, the University's online news service, has added two new features to help faculty, staff and students stay informed and work more efficiently.

BUSINESS @UD

"Business @UD" provides links to more than a dozen information sources in one convenient place that can be easily accessed by clicking on links, including

For example, users can get information on such topics as public safety procedures, services and crime reports under "Workplace safety."

"This new section is based on a suggestion by a UDaily reader," Larry Elveru, UDaily editor, said. "It helps make UDaily a more helpful web site, particularly for those who have made it their home page."

NEED TO KNOW

UDaily also has added "Need to Know," a space for notices of importance to faculty, staff and students. "Need to Know" provides a central location for news about campuswide deadlines, services, policy changes, benefits information and other important notices.

"Need to Know's high-visibility, up-to-the-minute postings at a central web location help reduce e-mail traffic and free up bandwidth on the UD network," Elveru said. The notices include links, when available, for readers looking for more detailed information.
