TUITION EXCHANGE PROGRAM
APPLICATIONS DUE BY OCT. 21

The deadline for Tuition Exchange (TE) applications for the 2003-04 academic year is Monday, Oct. 21. A lottery of eligible employees who have applied for the available slots will be held on Friday, Oct. 25, at 12:15 p.m. in Room 151, in the Office of Human Resources at 413 Academy St. It is not necessary to attend, but interested employees may do so.

Tuition Exchange is a program of exchange scholarships offered to University employees for their dependent children. It is a national consortium of more than 440 colleges and universities.

To participate in the lottery, employees must be full-time and have a minimum of two years of eligible University service as of Oct. 31 of the year in which they submit applications. Eligible children are natural or legally adopted children who are financially dependent on their parents in accordance with IRS regulations. Dependent children may apply to one or more participating institutions. Participating institutions grant the scholarship, not Tuition Exchange Inc. This means that submitting an application and subsequent acceptance to a school does not guarantee that a scholarship will be awarded.

Each eligible full-time employee is permitted to use up to two requests per semester under the University of Delaware's Tuition Remission program. Tuition Exchange semesters must be counted toward this maximum.
